two weeks to go

Two weeks to go before Mo and I  leave on our odyssey.  Getting excited now.  I've got a few more details to work out this weekend regarding places to stay.  I'm trying to leave room for this adventure to unfold along the way, rather than pinning down each detail.

I worked on our stay in Crater National Park this week.  Unfortunately the camp grounds don't open till mid June ( average 522 inches of snow per year!) Fortunately there was room at the lodge, so I ended up booking a room overlooking the lake at the lodge.  We will cut corners in other areas.  We will plan on dinner around sunset, as I've got planned for the north rim of the Grand Canyon Lodge.  I've done that before with my family and it is an amazing setting.
